Paternity Waiver of Service
This form may be helpful if you are the parent who DID NOT open the paternity case with the court (Respondent), and you don’t want to receive the initial court documents about your paternity case by certified mail, a process server, or sheriff because you already received copies of the court documents through the mail or they were given to you by the other parent.
What are the qualifications?
- This waiver can be filed with the court after the parent who opened the paternity case with the court (the Petitioner) has filed the paternity papers with the court and has given you (the Respondent) a copy of each of the paternity papers that were filed.
