New Kiosk Landing Page!

Hello everyone! We hope everyone’s experience with their kiosks after receiving the hardware and software update during 2024 has been positive and that your kiosks are continuing to operate efficiently and reliably. I’m reaching out to announce a change coming to your kiosks this month. In support of our efforts to help kiosk users understand how to navigate their way around the kiosk and the resources available on IndianaLegalHelp.org, we are adding a new landing page that will be the first thing a kiosk user sees when they first tap into the kiosk. The landing page will provide your kiosk users a chance to click and watch a video (in English or Spanish) to learn how they can use the kiosk and what types of resources and information are available to them through your kiosk. We also hope this will reduce the number of times kiosk users feel the need to ask your staff how to use and navigate the kiosk.

We have worked closely with the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority to create this wonderful video resource and believe it will be a great first resource for your kiosk users to better understand what they are about to encounter when they get to the IndianaLegalHelp.org homepage. In support of our efforts to gather as much useful data as we can on how your kiosks are helping self-represented litigants across Indiana, this new landing page will also allow us to track how many users are accessing the resources at Indiana Legal Help through the kiosk rather than through another internet-connected device.

In an effort to support users watching and listening to the new videos on the new landing page we are also sending a box of free/disposable wired earbuds out to each of you so that you will be able to hand them out to kiosk users needing to listen to the video or for users needing to make use of the screen-reading function of your kiosk. While the new landing page will be live in early February, the boxes of earbuds may take up to a couple weeks to arrive at your locations. If your users don’t have earbuds available, the videos are closed captioned.
