A court may order the BMV to suspend a license if a parent owes back child support. If the local child support prosecutor finds that a parent did not show up for a hearing or showed up and was found to owe back child support, then the child support prosecutor can send an order to the BMV to suspend that parent’s license until a payment plan is put in place.
The Indiana Child Support Services Program is free to Hoosiers and may provide more information on a child support related suspension. Find more information through the Child Support Customer Service – KIDSLINE.
