National CDC Moratorium (Pause) On Eviction
CDC Eviction Moratorium Extended
The CDC has extended the eviction moratorium through October 3, 2021 for counties hardest hit by COVID-19. This means that a person cannot be evicted because they have not paid rent until after October 3, 2021 if they live in a covered county. A person CAN be evicted for other reasons, like not following the lease or rental agreement. A person should pay their rent if they are able. More information is available below.
This tool helps a person decide if they qualify for the eviction protection when the landlord has not filed in court, and helps complete the form.
